Veranstalterinformationen:

In January 2006 “Die Zeit” – famous German weekly newspaper wrote “Germany is frozen but Findorfs are feeling cozy and warm and comfortable. The warmth of their bodies keeps their passive house warm”. And if you have visited them you’d probably wonder why don’t everybody build that way?”.

>> Necessity Building industry is in dead-end; it becomes more and more difficult to please the customers for new property. Energy crises follow one after another. Energy fossil resources are close to exhaustion and in short and long term their prices will only go up. The need of saving the harmony and balance with nature is obvious for protection of human beings.

As an EU member Bulgaria is bound to take measures for reduction of carbon emissions and drastically increase energy efficiency according to 20/20/20 Plan.

>> Potential We have the opportunity with one single action to make “green revolution” true and to achieve progress in two directions: heating and cooling cost reduction through efficient and measurable energy-efficiency standard and acquiring the rest energy through clean renewable technologies. High-grade, energyefficiency construction model is urgently needed to give higher value of the end product and a new chance for development of the building construction industry. Passive house standard is widely spread in Europe for more than 15 years. There are thousands of examples built. This is completely achievable in Bulgaria as well.

>> Goal An event for popularization of Passive House construction will take place for a second year in Bulgaria. The first seminar was organized in November 2008 http://www.passive.bg/bg/subitia/8-subitia.html. It was initiated by innovative architecture studio and leading producers of materials and systems for energy efficient construction. In July 2009 was established the non-government organization IG Passive House Bulgaria as a continuation of the efforts of the organizers of the first event. It has the mission to help creating preconditions for construction of passive houses. For more information about the goals, please visit www.passive.bg.

>>The Conference The most important initiative of the association in 2009 is the National conference aimed to provoke wide interest toward Passive houses not only within construction business. The event will present advantages and incentives of Passive houses construction:

  • Sustainable construction with huge reductions of CO2 emissions
  • Comfortable and healthy living environment
  • 10 times reduction of energy bills
  • Energy independence
  • Higher construction quality
  • Financially justifiable standard

Passive house standard is scarcely known in Bulgaria. IG Passive house aims to change that very soon.
The conference is a weighty event with chosen speakers, known as competent experts. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions interactively and comment the topics. Discussion of presented information is one of the main goals of the conference.
